Pastor Jason

Although serving as Lead Pastor a Oak Hills Church is very much my primary calling and day job, I tend to dabble in a number of different things: I write, read, play guitar and piano, spend college football season yelling at the TV, constantly tinker (then fix the things I broke while tinkering), I've earned several IT certifications, casually dabble in web development, and I recently completed the Advanced Certificate in Transformational Coaching from Western Seminary on my way to a full credential with the International Coaching Federation. I love helping people grow deeper in their faith and discover their answer to the second-most important question we will ever have to answer.

Although I grew up in a Christian family, I generally consider myself to have come to faith when I was 16, when God put Paul's words from 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 in front of me, reminding me that I'm not nearly as strong as I think I am - I am thoroughly dependent on him in every facet on my life.  I consider Jonah my "patron saint" because of my own history of fighting and wrestling with God, only to finally admit that God is "gracious and compassionate, patient and slow to anger" and always willing and ready to forgive.
