Pastor Jason

Although serving as Lead Pastor a Oak Hills Church is very much my primary calling and day job, I tend to dabble in a number of different things.  I love writing, reading, reflecting on what I'm reading through writing, but I am also a certified spiritual coach.  I love talking with people about their relationship with God and coming alongside them as they clarify and grow deeper into their unique calling and place in the world.  I might even be (slowly) working on a book that explores the importance of, and practical ways to, discover your answer to the second-most important questions you'll ever have to answer!

 

Although I grew up in a Christian family, I generally consider myself to have come to faith when I was 16, when God put Paul's words from 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 in front of me, reminding me that I'm not nearly as strong as I think I am - I am thoroughly dependent on him in every facet on my life.  I consider Jonah my "patron saint" because of my own history of fighting and wrestling with God, only to finally admit that God is "gracious and compassionate, patient and slow to anger" and always willing and ready to forgive.
