Church History:
Oak Hills Church was organized in 1965 and was led by it's founding
pastor, Howard Spaan for 10 years. The Rev. Peter Niewiek, and Rev.
Gary Hutt followed until 1987 when current pastor, Carl Leep came to
Oak Hills Church.
In 1991 the church added a Youth Pastor to it's staff and Chris Gibson
was hired to fill the position. Gary Westra followed until 2001. Mathew
McCabe served from 2001 until 2005 when our current Youth Pastor, Curtis
Holm, came to Oak Hills Church.
In the fall of 2000 the church also added a part–time position of
Ministries Coordinator. Sharry Kragt began her time on staff in
December of 2000.
Oak Hills Church has been blessed by being located in the middle of a
planned community in Northwest Beaverton since it's inception and
continues to this day to seek how we may serve the community that we
call home.
